Seventy four political parties have been deregistered by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has deregistered 74 political parties.
The announcement was made by INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday.
Giving reasons for the decision, Yakubu said the deregistered parties failed to meet various criteria stipulated by the constitution during the elections.
