A most evil man did the unbelievable by pushing his darling wife off a cliff because of the love of money. The man who pocketed a huge sum after the wife died was found out by hardworking detectives.

An evil man killed his wife by pushing her off a cliff during a party to celebrate their 12th wedding anniversary.

Harold Henthorn murdered wife Toni in a cruel bid to cash in on her £2.9 million life insurance but shockingly she was not the first wife the killer is alleged to have killed. The man has been handed judgement that befits his wicked deeds.

The woman fell 120ft to her death at a Rocky Mountain National Park. Prosecutors said they found a map in Henthorn’s car marking the spot she fell at with an X, something he was unable to explain to officers when questioned. They also revealed in court that Henthorn's first wife, Sandra met the same fate in a mysterious death that happened in Denver, Colorado in 1995. That time, Henthorn had claimed she was underneath the couple’s car changing a tire when it slipped off the jack and crushed the tragic wife.

As with Toni, Sandra died in a remote area where there were no witnesses other than Harold and his story conflicted during questioning, reports TheSunUK.

After killing Toni, Henthorn pocketed $496,000 in life insurance for her death. But, his luck ran out after Douglas County’s Sheriff’s Office reopened the old case because new evidence indicted Henthorn for killing his second wife, and a police spokesman said the case is ongoing.

The 59-year-old was convicted of first-degree murder on Monday following a trial in Denver for Toni’s death, but was not charged with Sandra’s murder.
