The anticipated video footage of what transpired between the Nigerian army and the irate Shiite Muslims who barricaded a road during a holy procession in Zaria, Kaduna.

The Nigerian Army has shared a video showing Shiites members blocking a highway and refusing all entreaties by senior army officers to let the Nigerian Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai the right of way.

An encounter later ensued that led to the killing of 7 persons shortly afterwards. There has been conflicting reports on the death toll which has been alleged in several quarters to range from 60 to 100 corpses.

This has also attracted responses from concerned Nigerians seeking answers concerning the ill-fated incident that is threating diplomatic relations between Nigeria and Iran which stands as the guardian of the Shi'a Muslims.
