Ayo Fayose urged his supporters to protect the mandate given to him and they have responded by cordoning off the roads to stop the APC lawmakers from gaining access into the state.
The impeachment drama against Ayo Fayose in Ekiti state is getting hotter day by day.
As at today, the major roads in the in the capital, Ado-Ekiti have been blocked in a bid to prevent the 19 All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmakers from impeaching Governor Ayo Fayose.
Fayose had earlier called on residents to protect the mandate given to him and they responded by cordoning off the roads to stop the lawmakers from gaining access into the state.
The APC legislators are said to currently be lodged at Sonap Hotel in Osogbo, Osun state and reportedly have plans to sneak into the state and enter the State House of Assembly.
Meanwhile, Fayose has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to intervene in the situation and keep him from being impeached.
