The Commissioner of Police (CP) in charge of Borno, Mr Abdu Umar confirmed the incident to newsmen in Maiduguri on Thursday.
He said that Ali was dismissed for allegedly killing an Army Warrant Officer Donatus Vokong, attached to Operation Hadin Kai, while his colleague was fired from the command for trafficking 4.5kg cannabis sativa.
The deceased and the suspect were attached to a unit at the palace of a traditional ruler in Maiduguri.
“I have just directed senior officers of the command to arrest any personnel with riffle and is under the influence of alcohol or who engage in gross misconduct.”
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Police Force, Oyo State Command has paraded a rat killer seller and his three children for murdering an eight-year-old boy, Abdulraheem Bamimore.
The suspects were paraded at the Ibadan police headquarters at Eleyele.
The police commissioner, Ngozi Onadeko stated that the suspects committed the crime on March 4 in the Saki area of the state.
“The dragnet of the command caught up with the suspects on Monday for allegedly abducting and murdering Abdulraheem, an eight-year-old minor.”
