Equatorial Guinea who took over the hosting rights from Morocco last week after the Morocco expressed its fears over the deadly Ebola virus being transmitted by visiting fans.
An agreement was signed between Cuban embassy and the national Ebola watchdog body in Malabo to recruit "50 Cuban doctors for three months" with the hopes to stiffen procedures in the preparations for the January competition.
According to government television the doctors are expected to arrive Malabo in few days.
“The national Ebola awareness and monitoring committee has recommended that visa applications from anyone who has traveled in countries already affected by the Ebola virus should be turned down and they should be refused entry to Equatorial Guinea," the TV reported.
