Umahi Will Teach You A Lesson – Ebonyi Governor's Aide Dares Wike To A Debate

Posted by Thandiubani on Fri 25th Mar, 2022 - tori.ng

Nwaze asked Wike to accept the challenge which was put forward on Thursday by Umahi while he was addressing State House correspondents in Abuja.

Governor Nyesom Wike has been warned that he will be disgraced if he dares take up the challenge to debate Ebonyi Governor David Umahi.

The Special Assistant to the Governor of Ebonyi State on Media and Publicity, Francis Nwaze made this known on Friday.

Nwaze asked Wike to accept the challenge which was put forward on Thursday by Umahi while he was addressing State House correspondents in Abuja.

The challenge by the Ebonyi Governor follows his Rivers counterpart’s reaction to a court ruling that sacked Umahi as Governor.

Wike had slammed the Ebonyi State Governor over his comments after he was sacked by the court for defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress.

Wike went ahead to suggest that he had played a role in ensuring Umahi and his deputy were sacked by the court.

However, Wike, who claimed that he and his party, the PDP played a major role in Umahi’s sacking, did not reveal what exactly they did to influence the decision of the court.

But Governor Umahi, while reacting to Wike’s outburst and boasting, had suggested that the Rivers governor may have used the public to influence the court.

Umahi said that Wike could only boast because he depends on public funds unlike him who worked for his money and also does a better job to better the lives of the people of his state.

The Ebonyi Governor feels he and Wike should come out on national television to tell Nigerians what they have achieved so far and with what amount of resources.

He challenged Wike to a debate that will enable both men to showcase their effort in governance.

And lauding the call for a national debate between the two governors, Umahi’s aide, on Facebook, said such should be organised by a major national television.
