Nigerian Senator representing Bayelsa East constituency in the National Assembly, Ben Murray-Bruce, has taken a swipe at the national chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), John Oyegun, over his recent statement.
We had
earlier reported it here that Oyegun called for an investigation of Supreme Court judges in the South East over the backdrop of the APC’s loss of Rivers state governorship seat to the Peoples Democratic Party.
"We have lost very important resource-rich states to the PDP. No matter how crude oil prices have fallen, it is still the most important revenue earner for the country.
I will take up your request to facilitate a meeting with the President. We will do that as soon as possible and also make it clear that there are problems which as a party, we must address," Oyegun said.
The Silverbird group chairman in a series of tweets posted on Thursday, February 3, condemned Oyegun’s boldness to threaten the Supreme Court Justices and called on all politicians to emulate former president, Goodluck Jonathan by learning to accept defeat.
