In a shocking and surprising move, prosecutors have allegedly let a group of three Australian rapists walk scot-free after admitting to have gang-raped a 17-year-old girl.

Three Australian men who pleaded guilty of raping a 17-year-old girl have been left to walk free. The men, from Melbourne raped the teenage girl while in a bar in Split, Croatia, in July.

Dylan Djohan, 23, Ashwin Kumar, 23, and Waleed Latif, 21, pleaded guilty to raping a teenage backpacker while they were on holiday in Croatia.

Metro reports that the three men were a jail sentence before they made an agreement with Croatian prosecutors to pay $31,594 (over £21,000) after waiting six months for trial.

The men were initially sentenced to a one-year jail term, though that was reduced to a five-year good behaviour bond. Police in Croatia seized the three men’s passports in order for the defendants to appear in court this month. But lawyers for the men and the prosecution agreed a deal which allows them to fly home with a conditional sentence.

According to reports Dylan Djohan joked about joining the mile-high club with the air stewardess on the flight home earlier this month.

He also used to regularly show off his muscular body and post about his body building on Instagram and other social media accounts.

He said: ‘Four days into my Adonis shred and these cuts are coming in deeper than the Baltic seas.

‘My gift from the gods was this blessed block of heathen marble… My curse from the gods is that I must sculpt it with my bare hands.’

Djohan’s Instagram has since been deleted.
