World Cup 2022: Mane Names Favourite Country To Win Tournament

Sadio Mane, the Bayern Munich forward, has talked about the highly anticipated 2022 World Cup.

He named Argentina as one of the favourites to win this year’s FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Argentina is in Group C in the 2022 FIFA World Cup and will face Poland, Saudi Arabia and Mexico.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup will start on Sunday, November 20, in Qatar.

The host nation, Qatar, will take on Ecuador in the first match.

Speaking after Bayern Munich defeated Barcelona 3-0 in the Champions League on Wednesday night, Mane said (via Vermouth Deportivo): “He [Messi] is an incredible player.”

He added, “Argentina, Brazil, Germany, France, England, I think there are few teams that can win the World Cup.

“Argentina is one of them. I don’t know whether we are big favourites, but I believe Argentina is a candidate because of its history, which means even more now because of the way we got here. But in a World Cup anything can happen, all the matches are very difficult. It isn’t always the favourites who win it.”
