Four members of a gang notoriously known as Shila Boys in Yola North Local Government Area of Adamawa state, have been nabbed.
They were arrested by the Adamawa State Police Command.
The spokesperson of the command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, who made this known in a statement on Sunday, February 19, 2023, said the suspects attacked a female Corps member identified as Joy Daniel and made away with her phone valued at N120,000.
According to the PPRO, one tricycle, handset, sharp knives, and other items were recovered from the suspects.
“The Adamawa state police command has on the 17/02/2023 apprehended a syndicate of suspected Shila boys along Ma'ine street Dougerei, Yola North local government area,” the statement read.
"The suspects; Yusuf Bashir 20years old 'm' of Kala'a street yola North, 2. Dauda Abubakar 20 years old 'm' of Wuro-Hausa yola South, 3. Umar Muhammed 19year old 'm' of Kala'a, 4. Nuhu Ali 19years old 'm' of Nassarawo borehole, were said to have at the early hours of 17/2/2023 attacked their victim one Joy Daniel, a Corp member along Ma'ine Street Dougerei and robbed her of her Itel smart phone Valued One hundred and twenty thousand Naira (N120,000)
