About 10 people have died today, Monday, 15 in two seperate suicide bomb attacks in the Yobe State capital of Potiskum.
Reports from AFP, the bombs exploded in the transit of the perpetrators as they were almost being apprehended by authorities and vigilantes.
According to eye witnesses, a group of vigilantes had apprehended a man suspected to be a member of the terrorist group. While he was being interrogated, the suspect detonated the bomb that he concealed under his attire killing eight of the vigilantes, including their commander.
The second blast happened moments later in the Dorawa area of Potiskum at an open air tavern and brothel that has previously been hit by the Islamists.
A source said a man suspected to be a bomber was chased by an angry mob and set off his explosives before he was caught.
"Two people have been confirmed dead," the source added.
