Apparently, some Nigerians have still not accepted the outcome of the February 25 presidential election, even though its been two weeks after the winner was announced.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on March 1 declared Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC, the President-elect.

But the result is being contested by Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and his counterpart in the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi.

In a trending video, a native doctor in Edo State accused INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu and others of allegedly scuttling the wish of the people.

The herbalist stated that the days of INEC officials are numbered as he had invoked the gods of Benin to deal with them before the month of May.

“Peter Obi’s result was taken to another person by the INEC Chairman. You have taken the glory of this land to a wrong person. Today, I have called the spirit of death.

“This thing you have done to this country, you’ll never find peace…you and all those that are working for you. The gods of this land is sending a message.

“Our people abroad are tired, they want to come back home because they want a new Nigeria.. You said no way. You’ll never find peace. Shame and disgrace will locate you,” he said.

The outcome of the presidential election remains controversial after violence in many areas and irregularities including over voting, alteration of results, among others.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, this week stressed that Yakubu “manipulated” the poll in favour of the APC and asked him to resign.

The opposition said Yakubu allegedly committed “serious electoral offence” and “betrayed the trust, confidence and hope Nigerians” reposed in him and the commission.

DAILY POST recalls that a statement by the International Republican Institute, IRI, and the National Democratic Institute, NDI, joint mission declared that INEC lacked transparency during the polls.
