Nigerian singer and actor, Yhemo Lee has narrated how he linked up Asake and Olamide.
He made the revelation during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo.
Yhemo Lee recounted his longstanding friendship with Olamide spanning over 13 years and expressed his disbelief when Olamide decided to sign Asake.
According to Yhemo Lee, everything began when he recorded a song featuring DanDizzy and YKB.
When Olamide came across the track, he was immediately captivated and reached out to Yhemo Lee.
Initially, Olamide expressed his interest in collaborating with DanDizzy and requested his contact information.
It was during their online conversation that Yhemo Lee passionately advocated for Asake, hoping that Olamide would consider blessing him with a verse, unaware of the life-changing opportunity that awaited.
Yhemo Lee recalled that Olamide asked him to send an audio file of Asake’s song titled “Omo Ope.”
Without any delay, Asake recorded his part and swiftly sent it back to Yhemo Lee.
Surprisingly, Olamide began discussing promotional strategies and, within just two days, revealed his desire to sign Asake to his record label, YBNL.
Filled with excitement, Yhemo Lee wasted no time and immediately visited Olamide’s residence, where the contract was prepared and eagerly awaiting their arrival.
