Nigerian skitmaker and actor, Mr Macaroni has defended producer and MAVIN Records label boss, Don Jazzy after Wizkid referred to him as an influencer.
There have been mixed reactions online after Afrobeats giant, Wizkid threw a series of shades to some notable music personalities.
One among those was Don Jazzy whom he tagged an influencer while berating his signee, Ladipoe.
While many have found the label to be an insult, Mr Macaroni opined that the context in which the word was used was disrespectful and one would be a hypocrite to think otherwise.
He noted that Don Jazzy’s influence has brought about major positive impact in the entertainment industry and he is also a beneficiary of his phenomenal influence.
He also referred to him as the biggest influencer in Africa who gives free advice and visibilit to up and coming artistes.
Mr Macaroni wrote …
“Donjazzy is perhaps the biggest Entertainment Influencer in Africa. And the beautiful thing is that his influence cuts across. From music, to contents, films, brands etc.
However, we would all be hypocrites to say that the context in which he was called an influencer isn’t disrespectful to everything he has done and is still doing for the Nigerian Music Industry.
An absolute legend. He promotes Music Artistes even outside his record label. Gives free advice and visibility to up and coming artists, shows love to everyone irrespective of their status. I am also a beneficiary of his phenomenal influence!
Don Baba J!!!! Your Influence Choke!!!”
