The Nigerian girls last night defeated South Africa 2-1 in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The win means the Super Falcons will clash with the host nation Morocco on Saturday in the final.
Videos on social media show the players dancing and celebrating the important victory against their fierce rivals.
Before the game, the South Africans had boasted about being one of the teams in Africa with the knowledge of how to beat Nigeria, nine-time African champions.
Banyana Banyana conceded late in the first half after Rasheedat Ajibade converted from the penalty spot for Nigeria.
Linda Motlhalo, however, levelled for South Africa from another penalty on the hour mark.
Defender Michelle Alozie won it for Nigeria with a long-range effort deep into stoppage time.
