Commotion As Female Vendors Confront Alleged Thief In Heated Oyingbo Market Standoff (Video)

Tension erupted at Oyingbo Market on Tuesday afternoon when a group of female traders confronted a young woman accused of stealing items from a provisions stall.

Eyewitnesses said the incident began when a trader raised the alarm over missing packets of noodles and canned items. 

Within minutes, several market women surrounded the suspect, demanding that she empty her bag.

The accused, identified only as “Chioma” by bystanders, denied the allegations, insisting she had already paid for the goods. 

However, a viral video on X captured the moment one of the traders forcefully opened her bag, revealing several unpaid items.

The woman was later handed over to officers from the Sabo Police Division. As of press time, the Lagos State Police Command has not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
