Niger South Stakeholders Launch Massive Movement for Senator Enagi’s 2027 Comeback

Posted by Chinenye on Wed 08th Apr, 2026 - tori.ng

Niger South stakeholders have officially launched a "Comeback Campaign" for Senator Muhammad Bima Enagi ahead of 2027.

With the 2027 general elections approaching, key leaders and voters across the Niger South senatorial district have officially backed Senator Muhammad Bima Enagi’s bid to return to office. This collective endorsement was announced by the Chairman of the stakeholders, Alhaji Mohammed Danjuma Adamu, following an urgent meeting held last weekend in the Mokwa Local Government Area.

Danjuma pointed out that while Niger South is blessed with incredible assets like shea nuts, strategic waterways, and fertile farmland. He expressed frustration that the current senator, Peter Ndalikali, has failed to use his legislative power to bring in the development agencies needed to turn the district's potential into reality over the last three years. He explained that this lack of progress is exactly why stakeholders are uniting behind Senator Bima Enagi, trusting in his proven ability to provide top-tier representation and spark real growth throughout the district.

Adamu pointed out that during Enagi’s time in the 9th Assembly under the APC, he successfully championed 14 bills and numerous motions specifically designed to re-energize the local economy.

The stakeholders expressed deep concern over the "missed opportunities" of the last three years. Despite the district's rich endowments in waterways and arable land, Adamu lamented that the incumbent, Senator Peter Ndalikali, has struggled to attract the necessary federal agencies and development projects.

"The people are seeking a leader who is accessible, responsive, and accountable," Adamu stated. "We need someone who remains connected to the grassroots, not a representative who distances themselves once the election is over."

In a moment of reflection, the stakeholders noted that many constituents now regret the 2023 election results. This time around, they say the electorate is more determined than ever to ignore "opportunistic candidates" and focus on a leader with a proven capacity to deliver.

The road to 2027 promises to be a political thriller. With the incumbent, Senator Peter Ndalikali, recently defecting from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress (APC), the stage is set for a massive primary showdown. Senator Enagi and other aspirants will now battle for a single APC ticket in what is expected to be the most watched race in the state.

For the people of Niger South, the message is simple: they want a return to progress, and they believe Bima Enagi is the one to lead the way.

He restated, the firm commitment of both stakeholders and the general public to see Senator Bima Enagi back in the Senate by 2027.

At the same time, the race has grown more intense now that the incumbent, Senator Peter Ndalikali, has jumped ship from the PDP to the APC. This move sets the stage for a high-stakes internal battle, as Enagi and other contenders will now have to fight for a single party ticket.
