Reason Why Patience Jonathan's Aide Was Assassinated Revealed

The death of DSP Tamuno Jacob Igbomie, a former principal security aide to the former First Lady, Patience Jonathan who was killed along Airport road, Abuja, is going through a thorough investigation.

 

According to reports from Leadership Newspaper, a top security operative has shockingly revealed that his death may not be far from the machinations of some unscrupulous politicians whose toes he must have stepped on while working as the security aide to the wife of the former President of Nigeria.

 

 

Igbomie is alleged to have been a major player involved in the Rivers state elections which his former boss played a pivotal role in.

 

“The killing cannot be unconnected with his previous appointment as the PSO to our former president wife. They have started killing people who knew about their dirty deals. It shows that more people close to the former president should watch their backs. Those people act like mafia and they will go to any length to have their way,”  the source said.

 

The desperate politicians according to the security operative may may have decided for security purposes, to shut his (Igbomie's) mouth permanently concerning the top secrets the late DSP could have been privy to.

 

“All the killings that went on in Rivers State by evil men in their desperation for powers may not go unpunished. All those responsible for the killing of innocent people during the election all because of politics will definitely be punished,”  the source said.

 

Igbomie, who hailed from Okrika, Bayelsa State was shot dead in his Honda Accord car last Friday with his vital documents, including phones, wallet and other personal effects, ruling out armed robbery as motive for the killing.

 

Force spokesman, Emmanuel Ojukwu, confirmed the killing of the policeman and disclosed that investigation had commenced to unravel the assailants.

 

The late DSP was married and had two children before his murder.
