A $5,000 prize has been offered by the National Sports Commission (NSC) for each goal the Super Falcons score in the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) group stage.
Shehu Dikko, the chairman of the NSC, announced the news on Tuesday while visiting the Super Falcons' camp at the Marriott Hotel in Rabat, Morocco.
The incentive is aimed at motivating the defending African champions as they begin their quest to retain the WAFCON title.
Dikko also disclosed that the goal bonus would be increased should the team progress beyond the group stage of the competition.
The Super Falcons, coached by Justine Madugu, were scheduled to begin their title defence against tournament debutants Malawi at the Al Madina Stadium in Rabat, in what marked the first-ever senior international meeting between Nigeria and Malawi.
