The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kano State Command, has commissioned a new operational outpost in Yelwa Quarters, Dala Local Government Area, to strengthen security presence and enhance effective protection of lives and property within the community.

The State Commandant described the establishment of the facility as a strategic initiative to bring security services closer to residents and ensure rapid response to emerging security challenges.

He emphasised the necessity of community engagement and inter-agency coordination in addressing insecurity, urging residents to furnish security agencies with timely and credible information to support crime prevention and peace maintenance efforts.

The commandant commended the local government council and community residents for their support and cooperation, stressing that security constitutes a collective responsibility requiring commitment from government institutions, security agencies, traditional authorities and the general public.

The Local Government Chairman pledged the council's sustained support to security agencies operating within the area and committed to assisting with addressing security challenges and ensuring resident safety.

He characterised the outpost commissioning as a welcome development that would strengthen security operations and enhance community confidence in security provision.

The commissioning event drew attendance from NSCDC area command personnel, corps divisional officers from multiple municipalities, police divisional leadership, Nigeria Immigration Service representatives, members of neighbourhood security structures and representatives from various local security and community organisations.
