Femi Kuti, an Afrobeat legend, claims that President Bola Tinubu is not Nigeria's main problem.
He maintained that the fundamental issue in Nigeria was institutional corruption, emphasizing that if Nigeria had a decent legal system, Tinubu would not have been able to run for president in the first place due to the numerous claims against him.
Speaking on a recent episode of the Good News Naija podcast, Kuti stated that corruption in Nigeria was deeply ingrained, emphasizing that all those entrusted with leadership in every field belonged to the same corrupt elite class.
"Do you believe Tinubu is the problem? The judiciary's failure to prevent him from getting there in the first place is an issue.
If all of the claims against him are true, how did he respond?
"If we had men and women of caliber and integrity, he wouldn't have been able to contest in the first place," he stated.
Kuti went on to say that Nigeria's systemic corruption has dashed the hopes of young Nigerians.
