Nigeria Police operatives have arrested multiple suspects across two major investigations into kidn@pping and armed robbery.
The Intelligence Response Team apprehended 34-year-old Nansik Wuyep Sule in connection with the reported abduction of two-year-old Rito Jesse Davou, though probe revealed the incident was staged.
Sule allegedly conspired with the child's biological mother, Catherine Davou, to fabricate the abduction and extort ransom.
Demands escalated from ₦7 million to ₦15 million before the child was found at Sule's residence.
A second suspect, Luka Emmanuel Butdam, was detained for making ransom calls to the child's grandmother.
The boy was rescued, treated medically and returned to his biological father.
In a separate operation, police arrested Idris Mohammed and Mohammed Bello Adams for their involvement in kidn@pping commercial driver Idris Zakari Baba.
Baba was lured on pretence of transportation work, then intercepted and held in the bush until a ₦3 million ransom was paid.
His 2012 Toyota Corolla was traced to Bauchi State where Mohammed was attempting to sell it.
The suspects are also linked to the kidn@pping of Pastor David Dahni and driver Abdullahi Abubakar, from which ₦10.5 million was extracted.
Police continue investigating to identify additional persons involved and establish the full scope of criminal activity.
