APC Women Leader Says Tinubu Must Stay For Eight Years

The National Women Leader of the APC, Dr Mary Alile Idele, has said President Bola Tinubu must complete two terms before power moves to another region.

She is also the National Coordinator of the Tinubu Torch Bearers.

She spoke in Akure, Ondo State, at the inauguration of the group's structure in the state, which is meant to rally support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 election.

Idele said four plus four is eight and there is no vacancy at the Presidential Villa.

She said the APC will mobilise supporters across the country to secure a second term for Tinubu, and that the eight years must be completed before any talk of rotation.

She said the South-South must finish its eight years, after which Tinubu can hand over to the North.

She told women in Ondo to carry the message of the administration's achievements to their homes and communities.

She said the group has spread to over 30 states and challenged the women to win more than 50 percent of female votes for the President.

She also said there is no opposition the APC cannot beat.

The Southwest Coordinator of the group, Princess Sandra Williams Oladele, said the initiative focuses on grassroots mobilisation, women in politics and promoting the Renewed Hope Agenda.

She said the target is 90 percent of votes for Tinubu in Ondo State and across the Southwest, and urged the women to turn gatherings into actual votes.

The State Coordinator, Erelu Modupe Martins, also urged members to push grassroots mobilisation so that the structures become votes for the APC in 2027.

Ondo Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Seun Osamaye, said women in the state have benefited from the APC led government and should stay committed to the party.

She said they should repay the support by mobilising for the party and its candidates, and that their structure must become electoral strength.

She said it would be a sin against God not to support the party, adding that under it women no longer beg.

The wife of the governor, Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa, described the initiative as a platform for grassroots engagement, civic responsibility and political mobilisation.

She said it stands for service, patriotism and empowerment, and that Tinubu's return to office would bring continuity of reforms and programmes.

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, represented by his Deputy, Dr Olayide Adelami, said women are highly visible in his administration and that it will keep creating opportunities for them.

He asked women, men and youths to take the administration's message to every household, and said Ondo expects to deliver over one million votes for Tinubu in 2027.
