The College of Nursing Services at Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital in Ado Ekiti wants to help fix the shortage of health workers in Nigeria.
Its boss, Prof Kayode Olabanji, says the school is now training good nurses, midwives and public health nurses who can work at home or abroad.
On Thursday, the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria will officially welcome the college's first set of 109 graduates into the profession.
They finished a four year course and passed their exams.
The school was upgraded to a college in 2022.
Olabanji said this step is important because it proves the graduates are trained, certified and ready to work.
He said many health workers have left Nigeria in recent years, so the college wants to fill that gap.
The college provost, Dr Olabisi Awe, said the school has modern facilities and skilled staff.
She thanked Governor Biodun Oyebanji and others for their support.
