Ogenyi Onazi has said that the decision by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to fine him $5,000 has been taken in good fate.

Lazio of Italy and Super Eagles midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi has said that the decision by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to fine him $5,000 has been taken in good fate.

It can be recalled that the AFCON gold medalist was red carded for challenging a Chadian player during Nigeria’s 2-0 win on June 13 in a 2017 AFCON qualifier at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna. He said that he was working towards reaching the Glasshouse in a bid to resolve the issues on ground.

“I really don’t have anything to say other than to smile about it and to assure that we are going to resolve it amicably. I expect that this issue is not something that is supposed to be in the public space, but as it is, we are going to resolve this in a better way. I have communicated with them and so everything will be fine.”
