A man has given many people the shock of their lives after storming a public place to set his own wife on fire.

A report by The Sun UK has shown that a huge manhunt is underway after for a man who set fire to his wife in front of their two children.

A really horrific footage captures the moment the deranged coward sets his spouse ablaze in a fast-food restaurant in the northern Romanian city of Buhusi.

The tragic woman, who has been left seriously injured, was with her mother and two of her three children – a boy, two, and a daughter, six.

The chilling clip shows the husband turning up and ordering coffee, before heading over to his wife’s table.

The troubled couple begin to argue before the warped man strikes his wife in front of other shocked diners.

He then grabs ahold of his former lover and sets her alight with the burning flames engulfing the mother.

The terrifying footage shows the woman running around the restaurant.

The woman was set on fire

The ruthless attacker is filmed fleeing into the street as the camera continues to record other patrons and the children trying to help the poor victim.

A relative said later: “They had a lot of trouble. He was beating her, he was always violent. She was terrified and the children too.”

The woman’s mother said: “He took a small bottle out of his pocket and poured something over her.

“I took my jacket and put it on her head and extinguished the fire. We ran to the hospital. She was seriously injured.”

A local hospital spokesman stated: “A patient who suffered severe burns on her face arrived here but has been transferred to a bigger facility in Piatra Neamt.”

Meanwhile, the man fled with his son and a manhunt is underway in Romania and neighbouring countries.

Police said he broke up with his wife two months ago. The man could face 20 years in jail for attempted murder if caught and convicted.
