Shocker! Nurse Caught Red-handed on Camera Slapping Paralyzed Male Patient (Photos)

 

A really disturbing footage which showed a nurse slapping her paralysed patient was captured on hidden cameras – set up by the suspicious mum of the disabled man.

 

According to The Sun UK, the nurse, Dorothea Harvilik was supposed to be caring for the 26-year-old but instead videos show her aggressively pulling his head and hitting his helpless body.

 

The patient’s mother set up the covert surveillance at the New Jersey home in America because she feared her son was being abused.

 

 

In the clip, Harvilik roughly pushes the man’s head forward so she can place a pillow and then his slaps his body when he appears to flinch or attempt to push her away.

 

Mirror Online reports that according to prosecutors the man requires round-the-clock care and is on a ventilator.

 

Harvilik, 64, faces up to 18 months in jail if convicted of assault and her nursing licence has already been revoked.

 

New Jersey is actively encouraging residents who suspect abuse by carers to uncover and document the acts by using free micro surveillance cameras for 30 days.

 

 

Attorney General Christopher Porrino said: “The horrifying images of Nurse Harvilik striking this defenseless patient and wrenching his head as she tended to him, underscored our need to ensure that all New Jersey families, regardless of their income, have access to state-of-the art technology they need to watch over their loved ones.
