A proposal submitted by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State has shown that there are plans to build a flyover bridge in the Agege and Ajah areas of Lagos State.
The governor is seeking the approval for the projects as part of the plans he has mapped out in a proposed budget re-ordering he made on Tuesday September 15, to members of the state House of Assembly.
The fly-over bridges would be constructed at Ajah roundabout and Pen Cinema, Agege.
The governor is seeking a re-ordering of the sum of N23.97 billion with a breakdown showing the sum of N18.278 billion as needed for capital projects and N5.697 for recurrent expenditure.
Some of the projects the governor further hopes to execute with the re-ordered budget include a pedestrian bridge at Ojodu-Berger area of Lagos, the continuation of the blue light rail project in the Badagry axis, the continuation of the Lekki-Epe Expressway, the acquisition of emergency/rescue helicopters and heavy duty equipment (cranes and forklift) and the Employment Trust Fund and Wealth Creation Programmes.
