Governor, Nyesom Wike
During a forum on Gov. Nyesom Wike's 100 days in office in Port Harcourt, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers, Davies Ikanya, on Wednesday, said the Wike's administration had done well in the area of completion of projects.
The chairman who was represented by APC’s state publicity secretary, Chris Fynebone, said the previous administration abandoned the projects due to shortfall in revenue.
"Those projects of a truth were not abandoned but left in line with the belief that government is a continuum. So, completing the projects are imperative for the progress of the state," Ikanya said.
Rivers chairman of Trade Union Congress (TUC), Chika Onuegbu, also commended Wike for making roads passable again, condemning the unlawful scrapping of Rivers Traffic Management Agency (TIMARIV).
He noted that crime wave, especially kidnapping was on the increase, stressing that it was capable of stalling investment in the state. He called on government to design a blueprint for economic prosperity of the state with the aim of creating wealth and jobs.
