Anthony Joshua Reveals The Surprising Thing He Does With Wladimir Klitschko "All The Time"

World heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Joshua, has opened up on the surprising thing does with Wladimir Klitschko 'all the time.'

Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua has revealed that he often seeks boxing advice from the man who he previously knocked out, Daily Star UK reports.

This is contrary to what fans think of the heavyweight champion.

It will be recalled that Joshua added yet another heavyweight belt to his collection on March 31 after he overcame Joseph Parker in Cardiff.

The 28-year-old's journey to success has been filled with several tough fights in such a short time – having already beaten Dillian Whyte, Charles Martin and Wladimir Klitschko.

But the superstar revealed how the latter of the three taught him just as much outside the ring as he did inside it.

He said: "I spoke to Wladimir yesterday – I reach out all the time.

"The man is an encyclopedia of boxing knowledge. Why not?

"I'm trying to learn and I am not the master yet – I'm still a student.

"So as much information on how to better me is welcome, even the negative.

"I always look at the negatives as well as people wanting me to do well.

"And if everyone tells you you're great, how are you going to improve?"

Joshua added the WBA and IBO belt to his IBF crown when he overcame Klitschko in the 11th round of their April 2017 contest.

Just a few months later, the 42-year-old Ukrainian hung up his gloves.

But the Watford-born superstar has nothing but respect for the man he went toe-to-toe with.

He later added: "He didn't just show us how to be a champion in the ring, he showed us how to conduct ourselves and how to handle the responsibilities of being a champion.

"When I analyse champions, I say 'yeah, I like the way Klitschko moved and the way Lennox [Lewis] moved'.

"They're not just champions in the ring, it's their responsibilities outside that I really respect.

"Everyone was complaining that the Klitschko brothers were dull, so why has no one knocked them out?"
