Excitement As Nigerian Football Legend, Kanu Nwankwo Surprises Budweiser Campaign Winners

Some Nigerian fans who participated in the Budweiser Don’t Light It Up campaign were paid a surprise visit by former Super Eagles captain Nwankwo Kanu.

 

Budweiser, the official beer of the 2018 World Cup, said the promo was in fulfilment of their promise to deliver unique experiences to football fans.

 

The brand, which recently unleashed its Red Light Cups campaign in response to shouting, cheering, or any other form of excitement by fans watching games, challenged football fans to suppress their excitement and not shout or scream in support of their team while watching their first group matches during this year’s World Cup.

 

The fans, who were lucky enough not to shout or scream during the matches, had a surprise visit from Kanu, who handed over to them free tickets to go watch the remaining 2018 World Cup matches in Russia.

 

The promo featured fans of five national teams – Argentina, Nigeria, Brazil, South Korea, and England.

 

According to Budweiser, the campaign gave participants once in a life time opportunity of experiencing the 2018 World Cup live.
