A Chicago-based Nigerian Catholic priest has been found dead in the United States, leaving his family, friends and well wishers in grief.

A Facebook user identified as Jacob Ugwuoke, who is based in Illinois, Chicago, has taken to the social networking platform to reveal that a Nigerian Catholic Priest has passed away in the USA, leaving his friends, colleagues and well wishers mourning.
According to multiple online reports, the deceased identified as Rev. Father Collins Ekpe, was the parish priest of St. Kizito Catholic Church in Kuje area of Abuja from 2008-2013 before he relocated to America to study.
Jacob, a friend and classmate of the late priest, disclosed that Father Collins died after he went into his room in Chicago to study and never came out alive.
He shared photos of the deceased and wrote: "He is a class mate and a priest friend. We woke up Sunday morning to hear that he went into his room and never came out alive in Chicago where he was studying.
"Please pray for the happy repose of his soul. Tears in my eyes. May his soul rest in peace."
As at the time of filing this report, TORI News could not ascertain the real cause of the priest's death.
