Samuel Kalu
Super Eagles forward, Samuel Kalu, has finally spoken about collapsing in training, a day before their Africa Cup of Nations campaign kicked off in Egypt.
The Bordeaux player fell while trying to take a corner-kick in a training session in Alexandria and was immediately rushed to the hospital.
Speculations were rife at the time that he had suffered a heart attack and would be ruled out of the tournament.
But after several medical examinations, Kalu was said to have collapsed due to dehydration and given the all clear to play at the tournament.
“I now take a lot of water and other related fluids.
“It is what the doctor requires of me and I must abide by it.
“I am very okay now and I have played a game to clarify that,” Kalu told Goal.
Kalu has now made two appearances at the AFCON.
