Man Impregnates His Sister In Kano

Shamsu Isa, a 25 year-old man who lives in Kano state impregnated his 27-years old elder sister Na'ima. This case of incest came to the public glare when the Ward Head of Takalmawa Quaters reported to the Police that Shamsu was having sex with his sister.

 

The charge levelled against him reads: “On July 4, 2014, the Ward Head of Takalmawa Quarters reported to the police that, Shamsu Isa was having sexual intercourse with his elder sister.”

 

In response, Isa said, ‘’The allegation levelled against me is true. All that had been read against me, is true, it was a mistake, I mistakenly impregnated my elder sister.” It is said that Na'ima, Isa's sister whom he had carnal knowledge of has a weak mind. It is supposed that Isa took advantage of his sister's mental condition to have sex with her.

 

According to Section 390 of the Penal Code Law, incest is a crime against the Nigerian Law. Aside this fact, this case could also be Ummi Sani Kurawa, the Senior Magistrate ordered that Isa be remanded in prison custody, and adjourned the matter.
