Former Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho has reportedly requested that Roman Abramovich does not bring in his old nemesis Pep Guardiola to replace him as Blues boss, Metro reports. 

 

It is rumoured that Bayern Munich manager is one of the leading candidates for the vacancy at Stamford Bridge, along with the likes of Diego Simeone and Antonio Conte.

 

 

Still, Guardiola is very much in-demand with both Manchester clubs also keen and Don Balon claims Mourinho and Abramovich may have come to an agreement that the Spaniard would not take his place in the Chelsea dugout.

 

Ultimately, a decision on a long-term appointment is unlikely to be made until the summer, with Guus Hiddink expected to return to the club in a caretaker role until the end of the season.
