Sahara Reporters said that the man arrived at Central Gombe motor with a suspicious look on his face. Vigilantes saw something suspicious about him and accousted him. They asked him for the content of his bag and he refused to disclose it.
Someone hit him with a stick for his refusal to answer. After he was hit with the stick, he detonated the bomb and was seriously injured in the process. The crowd immediately gathered around him doused him with gasoline and burnt the man to ashes.
