Nigeria's number one man, President Muhammadu Buhari has sympathized with the Eze Nelson Nmerengwa of the Isieketa Ancient Kingdom in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government of Abia State over the passing of his mother, Comfort, aged 105.
The president, in a condolence message released by his spokesman, Mr Femi Adesina, on Thursday in Abuja, affirmed that the deceased could be said to have lived a glorious life, crowned with longevity.
He said: “But the thing about mothers is that however old they are, we never want to see them leave.
“Mothers are from Heaven, and Nma has only returned home.”
He urged Nmerengwa and members of the Isieketa Ancient Kingdom to take solace in the quality of life lived by the departed and the legacy she left behind.
The president applauded the reputation of Nma as a dedicated Christian, farmer, community leader, and loving mother to all her children, encouraging the family to keep the memory of their matriarch aglow through a continuation of her good works.
Buhari prayed to God to accept Nma’s soul and give her peaceful rest.
