Blasphemy: Police Declare Prime Suspects Wanted

 

Two prime suspects in the murder of Deborah Samuel have been declared wanted for culpable homicide.

 

The Sokoto Police Command declared the prime suspects wanted on Tuesday, according to TheNation.

 

The deceased, a student of the Shehu Shagari College of Education (SSCOE) Sokoto was murdered last Thursday by a mob on the College’s premises for alleged blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).

 

In a statement on Tuesday , the Command spokesman, ASP Sanusi Abubakar, said the suspects have been declared wanted for culpable homicide .

 

 

Abubakar said others arrested at the scene while dispersing the mob were charged to court and remanded in prison.

 

The Command reiterated its commitment towards apprehending the suspects while assuring ”it has already deployed all it’s intelligence and on the look out for the suspects.”
