First Lady Aisha Buhari Makes Surprise Visit To Party Secretariat

Nigeria's First lady, Aisha Buhari paid a surprise visit to the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja on Monday, May 23.

Mrs Buhari was in the company of the wife of Vice President Dolapo Osinbajo, minister of women affairs Pauline Tallen, and others.

The first lady told journalists after a closed-door meeting with APC national chairman Abdullahi Adamu that the visit was to congratulate him on the good work he was doing for the party.

“We are also here to seek support for women. They should not be forgotten by the party. We congratulate the party chairman and thank the party’s stewards for the work they are doing,” she said.

Tallen stressed that women should not be forgotten in the party’s agenda.

This, she said, is because the women’s world is critical in all elective positions.
