Lionel Messi, the world-famous Paris Saint-Germain forward, has predicted that next season will be way better for him at the club.
Messi left his boyhood club Barcelona on a free transfer to join PSG last summer.
The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner did not really impress during his debut season at PSG.
Messi was recently booed by PSG fans after the French Ligue 1 champions were eliminated from the Champions League at the hands of Real Madrid.
But the Argentine has now expressed confidence that he will do better next season, adding that his exit from Barcelona was a shock.
“Next season will be way better for me with Paris Saint-Germain, I’m sure. It was not easy after that crazy summer,” Messi told TyCSports.
“It was really difficult to understand what happened, I wasn’t expecting to leave Barcelona – it was a shock”.
