President Muhammadu Buhari Arrives In Spain
Nigeria's President, Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in Madrid, the capital of Spain.
The Nigerian leader is on a State visit at the invitation of Spanish President, Pedro Sanchez.
The President flew out Tuesday afternoon via the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, in Abuja.
His aircraft landed at the Torrejon Airbase in Madrid at 10 p.m. (local time).
Buhari was welcomed by Spanish government officials and the leadership of the Nigerian Embassy in Spain.
The visit is his first in official capacity since the All Progressives Congress (APC) assumed power in 2015.
Buhari will meet with the Head of State of the Spanish nation, His Majesty King Felipe VI, as well as the Nigerian community.
The President will sign Agreements and Memoranda of Understanding to further enhancing the bilateral relations between the two nations.
He will attend an Investment Forum jointly organized by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, the Ministry of Trade, and the Confederation of Employers (CEOE).
The President, accompanied by some ministers and other Nigerian officials, is expected back in the country on June 3.
