How A 25-Year-Old Man Died After Falling Into Gutter In Kano

Ghaddafi Saleh, a 25-year-old man, has died in Kano.

The young man was on Wednesday confirmed dead in Kano State shortly after he was rescued unconscious from a gutter.

The spokesman of the Kano State Fire Service, Saminu Abdullahi, who confirmed the sad incident via a press statement, said, ”Today being Wednesday 20 July 2022, our formation received an emergency call at about 07:26 am from one Malam Abdulkadir.

“He reported that a man fell into a gutter at Tarauni, Zaria Road, by veterinary hospital.”

Following the incident, Abdullahi said firemen on emergency duty swung into action and arrived the scene at about 07:34 am and found a man of about 25 years old, identified as Ghaddafi Saleh, inside a main gutter.

According to the statement, the victim who was rescued unconscious was later confirmed dead, and his remains handed over to a Police Inspector, Bashir Abdullahi, of Zaria Road Police Division.

The cause of the incident was attributable to the downpour of last Sunday, during which the victim fell into a major drainage and got trapped.
