Drama Looms As Niger Assembly Summons Former Commissioner, Perm Sec Over Missing Tractors

Haliru Zakari Jikantoro, a former Niger State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs as well as the Permanent Secretary who served in the ministry have been summoned by the Niger State House of Assembly.

They were summoned for further investigation over the disappearance of 65 tractors belonging to 25 local government areas in the state

The House through the Ad-hoc committee investigating the missing tractors chaired by Malik Madaki Bosso representing Bosso Constituency resolved to invite them after an interface with the permanent secretary and other directors of the ministry.

Speaking with journalists, the permanent secretary ministry for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Abubakar Aliyu explained that he is prepared to comply and offer every information the committee required to solve the issue.

The LG ministry officials to appear before the committee on Monday 15th, 2022 are Haliru Zakari Jinkantoro who is the state chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, chairman, Kabiru Abbas as well as Hakilu Musa Kuta.
