Shehu Sani Blasts FG For Saying It Will Eliminate Terrorists By December

Posted by Thandiubani on Wed 07th Sep, 2022 - tori.ng

The Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, had said the Muhammadu Buhari administration will end terrorism by December.

The federal government has been lambasted for saying it will eliminate all terrorists by December this year.

The former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central in the National Assembly, Shehu Sani took to his Twitter page to slam FG.

Recall that The Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, had said the Muhammadu Buhari administration will end terrorism by December.

He made this known in Abuja on Monday during a joint security press conference with the Ministers of Defence, Information and Police Affairs as well as the Chief of Defence Staff.

Aregbesola stated that though the promise might seem far fetch and impossible, they would achieve it because they are determined.

He had said: “Nigerians have the assurance of all of us that their security is guaranteed. So, we’re here to assure you that you’re safe, that is why we’re here from the instructions of the president that you’re safe and that each day going to December, our safety and security will be better.

“What we face mostly now are clashes of cowardly attacks from those that have been routed in one locality or the other moving to give a false impression that they’re still strong. Our ultimate goal is to eliminate them altogether and restore total peace in every inch of the Nigerian soil; that we’re going to do by God’s grace, by December of this year.”

Taking to his Twitter handle on Tuesday, Sani said the federal government had fixed many datelines for the extermination of terrorists in our country.

He, however, expressed hope that all terrorists in the country will be eliminated by December this year.

The former lawmaker wrote: “Many datelines have been fixed for the extermination of terrorists in our country. The new one is in December. It’s just three months. We hope this time it will be met.”
