Omokri who shared his appointment letter during Jonathan’s administration revealed that his salary as of 2011 was equivalent to $6500.
Former presidential aide and controversial politician, Reno Omokri has opened up on how much President Muhammadu Buhari’s aides earn monthly.
In a Twitter post, Omokri who served as Special Assistant on New Media to former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan said that Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) to the incumbent leader earn an equivalent of $1200 monthly.
He also shared his appointment letter and salary slip of 2011.
According to him, his salary of 2011 was equivalent to $6500 when the then Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government employed him.
Speaking of now, he said the value of the naira has crashed to the extent that that same amount he earned is now equivalent of $1200.
Omokri’s tweet reads: “My payslip and appointment letter as Special Assistant to President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. My monthly salary was equivalent to $6500. Today, SSA’s to Buhari still earn the same amount, only that their salary is now equivalent to only $1200.”
