Posted by Thandiubani on Tue 18th Oct, 2022 - tori.ng

Peter Obi made this known on Monday at the interactive session between the 2023 presidential candidates and the Arewa Joint Committee.

The presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi has promised to turn the country around if given the chance to pilot its affairs.

According to Obi, he will unlock Nigeria’s greatness if he becomes the next President of the country in 2023.

Obi made the pledege on Monday at the interactive session between the 2023 presidential candidates and the Arewa Joint Committee.

He stated that there was the need to bring a transformative government, believing that the greatest assets of Nigeria are in the north.

According to him, “We will bring Nigeria back to life. All banks will be shareholders in the Bank Of Agriculture where our farmers can directly access loans.”

The Labour Party presidential candidate is of the view that crime could drastically be brought to a minimal level if Nigerians were pulled out of poverty, assuring that his government would do all it could to eradicate poverty in the country and give Nigerians new hope of living.

Obi emphatically stated that his candidature is for a new Nigeria in all ramifications, saying that his earnest desire is to make Nigerians proud of themselves and their country anywhere in the world.

He also assured that his government would fight corruption to a complete standstill, maintaining that, “fighting corruption is easy when one is not stealing.”

He lamented, “Our past is gone, we are going to face the future. Fighting corruption is easy when one is not stealing. Our money is stolen, subsidy is organized crime, all Nigerians must fight against it in order to free ourselves from the curse it has presently brought us into.”

He also pledged that he wants to give Nigerians hope, vowing that he and his running mate would be in charge, assuring that Nigerians will not find them wanting as they have the physical strength to effectively carry out what is constitutionally expected of them.

The presidential candidate vowed, “I will dialogue with every agitator in every part of Nigeria because it will make us a better and united Nigeria.”

Obi also promised to invest more in women, maintaining that women are very industrious and dedicated in whatever they found themselves doing in order to earn a living.

He, therefore, urged Nigerians to vote for a character and capacity they can trust, adding that he is the only candidate to be trusted in the next year’s election.
