Kanu is still being detained even after an Appeal Court ordered his release.
Protesters have taken over streets in Aba, Abia state over the continued detention of leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu by Federal government.
Recall that an Appeal Court in Abuja had ordered the release of Kanu, but the federal government refused to release him before getting another other to stay execution.
Angry protesters took over the streets of Aba on Friday to protest.
The protesters carrying banners with the image of Kanu demanded the unconditional release of their detained leader.
The protesters believed to be supporters of Kanu chanted solidarity songs as they protested.
