Following the conviction of Doyin Okupe, a former Senior Special Assistant to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Labour Party has reacted.
Recall that Okupe is the Director-General of Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council.
He escaped being thrown to jail after he was found guilty of receiving over N200m cash from a former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd) by paying N13m fine.
Reacting to his conviction, the leadership of the Labour Party on Monday said it would first obtain a copy of the judgment of the court that convicted Okupe and study it before taking a position on the matter.
The spokesman of the campaign council, Yunusa Tanko, disclosed this in an interview with The PUNCH shortly after Okupe was convicted.
