The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi has said the police would investigate police officers demanding for money from complainant before they investigate a case.
He also said the same thing will be done to officers in the charge rooms who extort family members of suspects in detention.
In a series of tweets, Adejobi described the act as shameful and unprofessional.
According to him, it is criminal for any policeman to demand money from any complainant before reporting and referring a case for intestigation at any police station.
